Mario Rivera

Global Head of Asset-Backed Securities

Mario Rivera is a Managing Director and Global Head of Asset-Backed Securities, based in New York. Mr. Rivera is responsible for sourcing, origination and investment strategies, with a focus towards the secondary markets in asset-backed securities (ABS) and loans.

Since joining Fortress in 2007, Mr. Rivera has analyzed, structured, and invested across a wide variety of asset classes including, RMBS, aircraft leases, ABS CDOs, consumer debt, and student loans. Prior to Fortress, Mr. Rivera was a Vice President at Pursuit Partners, where he analyzed and traded distressed ABS.

Mr. Rivera received a B.S. degree from Cornell University with a major in applied economics and management.
