Jeff Runnfeldt

Chief Investment Officer, Multi-Manager Group

Jeff Runnfeldt is a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Fortress Multi-Manager Group.

Mr. Runnfeldt has spent more than two decades in the multi-manager hedge fund industry. Prior to joining Fortress in 2024, he was a Partner, Global Head of Equities and a member of the Investment Committee at Balyasny Asset Management, an organization he joined in 2018. Previously, Mr. Runnfeldt worked at Citadel from 2002, leading a financials team and later becoming a Partner and Head of Global Equities, and a member of the Investment Committee. He began his career as a Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Mr. Runnfeldt is a founding board member of Fish For Change, a Honduras-based charitable organization focused on education, conservation and exploration. He holds a B.S. in Finance from California State University, Bakersfield, and a M.S. in Finance from San Francisco State University.
