Founded in 1976, Intrawest is a leading North American mountain resort and adventure company. Its geographically diversified portfolio of seven leading resorts—Steamboat, Winter Park, Mont Tremblant, Stratton, Snowshoe, Blue Mountain and Mammoth—give the company a leadership position in each of its markets based on skier visits. The company also operates Canadian Mountain Holidays ("CMH"), the largest heli-ski operator in North America, and a real estate development business with over 1,150 acres of prime resort land. Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of Intrawest, was listed on the TSX under the ticker "WB" in 2010. Fortress acquired Intrawest in October 2006 and took the company public in January 2014.
